Chase updates Southwest business credit card bonus terms

Chase has updated the welcome bonus terms for its Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier and Performance Business credit cards. The new language states that a cardmember bonus ‘may not be available’ to individuals who have previously held these specific cards.

This replaces a previous policy that allowed customers to qualify for a new welcome bonus after 24 months had passed since receiving a prior one. While the wording is not an absolute lifetime ban, Chase noted it may consider various business-related factors when determining eligibility. This change could impact travelers using business card bonuses as a primary method to earn the Southwest Companion Pass.
