ChatGPT evolves into multi‑tool platform for projects, research and image creation
Since its launch at the end of 2022, ChatGPT was mainly used as a more advanced search engine. By 2026 the service has grown into a comprehensive workspace that can store user preferences, manage long‑term projects, set reminders, conduct deep research across multiple sources, and interpret images, PDFs and documents. It also generates and edits visuals, writes and refactors code, and supports natural voice conversations.
Despite these expanded capabilities, many companies still treat ChatGPT simply as a better Google, which analysts say leads to inefficiencies and wasted time as they miss the broader productivity tools the platform now offers.
