ChatGPT introduces temporary chat mode and advanced research tools

OpenAI has implemented features in ChatGPT to enhance user privacy and expand functional capabilities. A temporary chat mode allows users to interact with the AI without the system accessing previous chats or using current session data to update long-term memory. Additionally, conversations held in this mode are not used to train OpenAI’s language models. For security purposes, OpenAI retains copies of these dialogues on its servers for a maximum of 30 days before permanent deletion.

Beyond privacy settings, ChatGPT offers advanced tools such as Deep Research, which enables the platform to collect and analyze data from multiple web sources simultaneously. Other key functionalities include file and PDF analysis for extracting summaries and data, as well as image generation and editing capabilities. Access to certain advanced features, such as Deep Research and scheduled tasks, varies depending on the user's subscription plan, with specific availability for Plus, Business, Pro, Team, Edu, and Enterprise tiers.
