ChatGPT maintains dominance in AI market amid new subscription tiers

OpenAI's ChatGPT continues to dominate the generative AI market, maintaining its position as the most used tool on both web and mobile platforms. According to the seventh edition of the Top 100 Consumer AI Apps report by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), ChatGPT remains significantly ahead of competitors, recording approximately twice the web visits of Google's Gemini and six times those of Anthropic's Claude.

The market shows signs of consolidation, with Claude rising to the third position on the web, ahead of DeepSeek and Perplexity. While OpenAI's user base is split between professional and consumer segments, Anthropic is increasingly focusing its launches on professionals and developers. Google, meanwhile, directs nearly half of its new AI offerings toward the general public.

In terms of service offerings, OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Go, an entry-level subscription priced at 8 € per month in France. This tier sits between the free version and the 23 € per month ChatGPT Plus plan, offering increased usage limits for tools, files, and images, though it may include advertisements. Users are advised to download official applications only through OpenAI's verified channels to avoid fraudulent third-party imitations.
