Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used to generate statistical predictions in sports. Following an experiment by USA Today regarding NFL team records, SuperTalk Mississippi utilized ChatGPT to forecast the 2026 college football seasons for Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

For Ole Miss, the AI predicted a 9-3 regular-season record. The chatbot cited a brutal schedule involving matchups against LSU, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma as primary factors for not predicting a higher win total. Additionally, the AI noted that while the program has maintained significant momentum, 2026 will mark Pete Golding’s first full season as head coach following the departure of Lane Kiffin.
