Chatra Police arrest Rahul Dubey gang member after encounter
Police in Chatra, Jharkhand, engaged in an encounter with members of the Rahul Dubey gang in the Piparwar area. During the exchange of fire, Vikas Kumar, an alleged gang member, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was subsequently arrested.
The encounter occurred approximately 40 hours after a group of four masked criminals opened fire with roughly 20 rounds at the Sushi Infra company office, an outsourcing agency located within the Chandragupta Coal Project. That initial attack resulted in an injury to a security guard from the SIS Private Security Agency.
Following the encounter, the injured suspect was transferred to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital in Hazaribagh for advanced treatment. While Kumar was apprehended, his accomplices managed to flee the scene under the cover of darkness. Chatra Superintendent of Police Animesh Naithani stated that search operations and raids are ongoing to locate the remaining fugitives.
