Chayanne concert in Vigo sets record attendance at Castrelos

Puerto Rican singer Chayanne performed at the Castrelos auditorium in Vigo on 30 July 2026, drawing a crowd that the city mayor, Abel Caballero, described as the "most attended concert in the venue’s history". The attendance surpassed previous records set by acts such as Maná and David Guetta. Fans arrived days early, some camping in tents on the stadium’s stands, and attendees came from several countries, including Venezuela and Uruguay. Following the concert, Caballero announced the sale of tickets for a forthcoming show by local artist Iván Ferreiro, scheduled for 15 August 2026 at the same venue. Five thousand reservations will be sold on 5 August at €10 each, with a two‑phase distribution system (2 500 reservations per phase, split between in‑person and online sales) and a limit of four tickets per person, requiring a copy of the buyer’s ID.
