Cheap Trick cancels touring dates for unspecified break

Cheap Trick tour cancellation rock music Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort Thunder by the Bay Music & Motors Festival

Rock band Cheap Trick has announced they will take an unspecified amount of time off from touring. The decision follows many years of performing and is described by the band as a “much-needed break.”

As a result of this hiatus, a scheduled performance at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort in February 2027 has been canceled. The Thunder by the Bay Music & Motors Festival also confirmed the cancellation of their scheduled performance for that same period.

Refunds for affected events will be processed to the original method of payment, typically within 30 days once funds are received from the event organizer. While specific details regarding the full extent of the hiatus remain unconfirmed, the band had previously been scheduled for ten performances in 2026 and several dates in 2027.
