Cheb inaugurates new fire station for volunteer unit

In Cheb, officials have marked the construction of a new fire station for the Cheb – Háje Volunteer Firefighter Unit. During the ceremony, Cheb Mayor Jan Vrba, Karlovy Vary Region Fire Rescue Service Deputy Director Martin Tomášek, and Cheb – Háje Volunteer Firefighter Association Mayor Jiří Bublík signed messages intended for future generations.

These messages, which reflect the traditions and selflessness of the volunteer firefighters, were placed in a capsule within the new facility. The new station is intended to serve as a stable base for the unit, supporting both emergency response capabilities and the social and cultural life of the community.
