Cheb Museum to host medieval clothing exhibition
The Cheb Museum is preparing a new exhibition titled “Masters of the Clothing Guilds,” which will focus on medieval garment production. The exhibit will showcase the work of tailors, shoemakers, and weavers from the 15th and 16th centuries.
Through the use of realistic dioramas, historical reconstructions, and archaeological finds, the exhibition aims to illustrate the various stages of clothing production and the craftsmanship passed down through generations. Visitors can explore period workshops and view the tools used by medieval artisans.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from November 6 until November 11 of next year, with an opening ceremony planned for November 5. The museum will also offer guided tours in both Czech and German, as well as specialized workshops including weaving and hair combing.
