Checho Geles releases musical tribute to Omar Geles

Checho Geles & La Dinastía have released ‘Parrandeando con las de Omar Geles’, a musical mosaic designed to honor the legacy of the late vallenato maestro Omar Geles. The project features six of Geles’s most emblematic songs: ‘Una Mariposa’, ‘Renunció’, ‘Cómo le pago a mi Dios’, ‘Ok’, ‘Las locuras mías’, and ‘Cuando casi te olvidaba’.

The production marks a new professional chapter for Checho Geles, who spent 12 years performing alongside his uncle as an accordionist. This new project, featuring the vocals of Juan Gómez and the accordion of Checho Geles, aims to introduce the master's work to new generations while maintaining the musical identity established by his predecessor.

Produced by Sergio Geles, the musical recording took place at the Nemecio Gómez studios. The accompanying audiovisual project was filmed at Casa del Río in Valledupar, a location chosen to reinforce the connection to the roots of vallenato music.
