Check Point Software partners with Ngee Ann Polytechnic to train Singapore cyber talent
Check Point Software Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ngee Ann Polytechnic to embed its Check Point Certified System Administrator (CCSA) curriculum into the polytechnic’s Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics. The programme, starting in the April 2026 semester, will enrol about 100 students who will receive a grant of S$60,000 covering training materials, certification courses, software licences and discounted exam fees.
The partnership aims to address a severe shortage of cybersecurity professionals in the Asia‑Pacific, where the talent gap exceeds 3.4 million. In Singapore, cybersecurity job postings rose 57 % year‑on‑year and demand for specialised roles such as security architects and analysts increased by more than 250 %, prompting the need for industry‑aligned education and practical, hands‑on training.
