Cheddy García to star in three films over three months

Dominican actress and entrepreneur Cheddy García is set to achieve a rare cinematic milestone with three film releases in three consecutive months. Her upcoming projects include “La Fábrica de Bodas”, scheduled for release on September 25; the Puerto Rican production “Espinal” in October; and “La Novia del Atlántico” on November 26.

“La Fábrica de Bodas”, directed by Francis “El Indio” Disla, recently received a positive reception during its presentation at the Dominican Film Festival in New York. The comedy stars Mexican actor Kuno Becker alongside Jenna Wheller and Dominican actors including Cheddy García, Fausto Mata, and Zoe Martín. The film explores the immigrant experience through humor, following a character named Alex who faces deportation and complex personal challenges.

In October, the film “Espinal” will arrive in Dominican theaters. Directed by Jaime Segura, this Puerto Rican production depicts the life of Olympic medalist Jaime Espinal, tracing his journey from poverty and racism to athletic success.
