Chef Alessandro Borghese films in Calabria's Sila plateau
Chef and television host Alessandro Borghese has traveled to the Sila plateau in Calabria to film a new episode of the Sky program “4 Ristoranti”.
Borghese highlighted the region's natural landscape, including its ancient forests, lakes, and the symbolic pine laricio trees. He noted the historical significance of the timber, which was used in major architectural works such as the Basilica of Saint Peter and the Royal Palace of Caserta. The filming also touches upon local traditions, such as the historical resin collection by the piciari, and the region's mountain cuisine rooted in peasant traditions.
