Chef Alex Atala unveils quick Airfryer chicken‑potato recipe

Brazilian chef Alex Atala, one of the country’s most followed culinary figures, posted a recipe that uses an Airfryer to prepare chicken thighs or drumsticks with sliced potatoes. The method emphasizes a simple “denervating” cut on the meat, a 40‑minute dry‑marinade of garlic powder, paprika, herbs and vinegar, and cooking at 200 °C for 45 minutes. Butter is melted in the tray’s base, creating a crisp potato layer while keeping the chicken juicy. At the end, the pan‑drippings are poured over the dish for added flavor.

Atala highlighted the dish as an inexpensive, low‑mess solution for home cooks lacking inspiration or a tight budget, leveraging everyday ingredients to achieve a restaurant‑level result.
