Chef Alexandru Sautner discusses difficult childhood and family support

Chef Alexandru Sautner, a judge on the television show ‘Chefi la cuțite’, shared emotional details regarding his difficult upbringing and early career during an appearance on the program ‘Furnicuțele’.

Sautner described growing up in a modest family facing constant financial hardships. He recalled a defining moment during his adolescence in Turnu Severin when he felt deep shame after arriving at school wearing wool socks, which highlighted his family's poverty. This experience served as a catalyst for his ambition to improve his circumstances.

After moving to Germany to work as a dishwasher, Sautner began supporting his family financially. He stated that since 1991, he has provided unconditional support to his parents to ensure they no longer face the struggles they endured during his childhood.
