Chef António Nobre to host Alentejo gastronomy experience

Chef António Nobre will lead a sensory experience focused on beldroegas, a traditional Alentejo ingredient, as part of the ‘Provar é Saber’ cycle promoted by Vinhos do Alentejo. The event is scheduled for August 29 at the ViniPortugal Ogival Room in Lisbon.

The session aims to explore the relationship between different wine profiles, particularly from the Portalegre sub-region, and this spontaneous plant. While historically viewed as a wild herb, beldroegas are gaining prominence in contemporary cuisine due to their versatility and nutritional value, including vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids.
