Chef Hiro Ozono to co-organize Brazilian Sushi Championship

Chef Hiro Ozono will co-organize the Brazilian Sushi Championship, scheduled to take place from October 19 to 23, 2026. The competition will be held during the Seafood Show Latin America, the largest seafood industry trade fair in Latin America.

Organized by the Nagoya Sushi School, the event will feature judges and guest chefs traveling from Japan to evaluate competitors. The initiative aims to promote technical improvement and the exchange of knowledge regarding authentic Japanese cuisine in Brazil.

In addition to the championship, Ozono will serve as a curator for the first Fishcode Delegation. This program will lead a group of 40 professionals, including chefs and managers, through a five-day immersion featuring workshops and visits to locations such as the Santos Fish Market and shrimp farms in the interior of São Paulo.
