Chef Hugh Allen wins Chef of the Year at Good Food Guide Awards

Chef Hugh Allen dominated The Age Good Food Guide Awards, earning the Oceania Cruises Chef of the Year title. Allen, who leads both Yiaga and Vue de Monde in Melbourne, is currently the only chef in Australia to simultaneously lead two three-hatted kitchens.

His restaurant Yiaga, located in Fitzroy Gardens, was named the T2 Tea Restaurant of the Year and received three hats. Vue de Monde also earned three hats, the highest ranking awarded by the Guide. During his acceptance speech, Allen also shared that he recently became a father.
