Chef Jernard returns to One Voyage cruise to support HBCU students

Chef Jernard is celebrating his tenth year participating in the One Voyage cruise, an event designed to support the enrollment and success of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) students.

For the upcoming 2026 cruise aboard the Resilient Lady, Jernard will transform the ship’s test kitchen into a floating version of his restaurant, ‘Cornbread and Butter at Sea’. The menu is expected to feature items such as short ribs, sweet potatoes, collard greens, honey buttermilk cornbread, and signature sweet tea brine pressure-fried chicken.

The One Voyage cruise is also marking its 25th anniversary, featuring a lineup of musical artists. Jernard, an HBCU alumnus, described the event as a ‘party with a purpose’ aimed at supporting students.
