Chef Matt Stone to relaunch Me-Gal restaurant at Taronga Zoo

Sustainability-focused chef Matt Stone is set to relaunch Me-Gal restaurant at Taronga Zoo in Sydney on December 15. The move is part of a broader overhaul of the zoological institution’s food and catering operations.

Stone, known for his zero-waste cooking and use of native ingredients, will partner with hospitality group Trippas White to lead the project. The restaurant, which offers views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, was previously exclusive to guests of the zoo’s Wildlife Retreat before opening to the public in 2023.
