Chef Olivier Bellin under investigation for workplace harassment

The Quimper prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into Olivier Bellin, a prominent two-Michelin-starred chef, following allegations of workplace violence and moral harassment. The investigation, assigned to the Châteaulin gendarmerie research brigade, follows multiple reports from former employees of his restaurant, Auberge des Glazicks, located in Plomodiern, Finistère.

Former staff members have described a toxic work environment characterized by humiliation, insults, and repeated pressure, which reportedly led to a series of resignations. One former employee stated that “everything was a reason to be yelled at, belittled, and disparaged.”

Bellin, 55, is a highly recognized figure in the culinary world, having earned his first Michelin star in 2005 and a second in 2010. He is also a member of ‘Les Grandes Tables du Monde’. In late July, Bellin announced the closure of his gastronomic establishment, citing difficulties in hosting clients following a period of intense heat. When contacted regarding the allegations, Bellin declined to comment on the substance of the case, previously stating only that he “remains upright in my boots.”
