The second edition of the Summer University Courses in Jerez, organized by the University of Cádiz (UCA) and UNIA, has officially commenced. The inaugural event featured a keynote lecture by renowned chef and culinary communicator David de Jorge, widely known as ‘Robin Food’.

Jerez Mayor María José García-Pelayo attended the opening, highlighting the city's upcoming role as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2026. The Mayor emphasized the importance of local products and mentioned the upcoming presentation of the Andalusian Wine Institute. The event also included a moment of silence for José Gutiérrez Mesa, a local police sub-inspector who recently passed away.

The courses are held at the Pescadería Vieja hall and aim to combine academic knowledge with the region's culinary excellence.
