While some netizens suggested he had undergone double eyelid surgery, others argued the change was due to temporary swelling or lighting.

On September 7, Son posted a photo on his social media from the Singapore F1 Grand Prix, where he is participating as a guest chef for the TWENTY3 hospitality program. The photo shows him with his usual eye appearance, which many observers believe indirectly clarifies the speculation. Some fans also noted that recent fatigue and medical issues related to gum inflammation may have contributed to previous facial swelling.
