Chef Sven Wassmer to leave Grand Resort Bad Ragaz

Renowned Swiss chef Sven Wassmer will depart from the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz at the end of February 2027, marking the conclusion of an eight-year tenure. Wassmer, who holds three Michelin stars and 18 GaultMillau points, currently leads the restaurant Memories.

His decision to step down is driven by a desire to focus on his family and the Wassmer Family Group consulting business, managed alongside his wife, Amanda. A significant factor in this shift is the recent autism diagnosis of his youngest son, which has reshaped the family's priorities and focus.

In addition to the departure from Memories, the Michelin-starred restaurant Verve by Sven will also close. The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is currently searching for a successor to maintain its high gastronomic standards, noting that the restaurant may undergo a rebranding during this transition.
