Chef Tanka Sapkota organizes charity dinners for Nepal flood relief

Chef Tanka Sapkota is organizing a series of charity dinners on September 1 to support victims of flash flooding in Nepal and Tibet. The initiative involves four Lisbon-based restaurants: Casa Nepalesa, Come Prima, Il Mercato, and Forno d’Oro.

All proceeds from the dinners will be donated entirely to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to assist affected communities. Sapkota, a Nepalese chef who has lived in Portugal for 30 years, stated that the event is a way to use his culinary career to provide hope to those suffering in his homeland. Individuals unable to attend the dinners may also contribute to the cause through direct donations.
