Chefs Francesco Mastrogiovanni and Ivan Russo return to Cilento

Chefs Francesco Mastrogiovanni and Ivan Russo have chosen to return to their native Cilento region in Italy to apply international culinary experiences to local traditions.

Mastrogiovanni, originally from Omignano, worked in Senegal, Denmark, and Switzerland before returning home. He aims to blend the gastronomic memory of Cilento with contemporary techniques and perspectives gained abroad, stating that his travels helped him rediscover the value of his roots.

Similarly, Ivan Russo, from Giungano, returned to the region after working in major international culinary hubs, including Paris and Dubai, to bring diverse gastronomic influences back to his home territory.
