Chega party holds internal elections for national convention delegates

The Portuguese political party Chega is conducting internal elections to select delegates for its VII National Convention, scheduled for November 20–22 in Entroncamento. The convention serves as the party's highest decision-making body, where members will vote on organizational matters, statutory changes, and the election of national bodies.

In the Aveiro district, Manuel Almeida is leading Lista B in a contest against Lista A, which is headed by deputy Armando Grave and supported by the District Political Commission. A total of 1,000 delegates will be elected nationally, with Aveiro allocated 61 seats to be distributed via the D'Hondt method.

In Braga, the local political commission, led by Filipe Aguiar, has expressed support for André Ventura’s re-election as national president and is mobilizing members to vote for Lista B to represent the district at the convention. The voting process includes two separate ballots: one for the national presidency and another for the district delegates.
