Chelsea and Liverpool eye AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné

Chelsea and Liverpool are reportedly competing for AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné as the January transfer window approaches. Chelsea previously made a significant attempt to sign the French international during the summer, with reports suggesting a proposal worth approximately €60 million to €65 million was close to an agreement. However, Roma blocked the move because they were unable to secure a suitable replacement.

Liverpool has now entered the race for the 25-year-old, who is viewed as a potential long-term addition. The English club is also monitoring Monaco's Lamine Camara as part of its midfield reinforcement strategy. Because Koné is under contract with Roma until 2029, the Italian club maintains a strong negotiating position and is expected to demand a high fee for any potential transfer.
