England squad: Palmer and Alexander-Arnold recalled for Nations League

England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign, featuring several high-profile returns and new faces. Most notably, Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been recalled to the national team after being omitted from the 2026 World Cup squad.

The 27-man roster includes several young prospects and debutants, such as Rio Ngumoha, Alex Scott, and Jarell Branthwaite. Other returning players include Lewis Hall, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. However, some notable players were left out, including Phil Foden, Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney, and Ben White, the latter of whom missed selection due to injury.

England is drawn in League A, Group C, and will face Spain, Croatia, and Czechia. Their campaign begins at Wembley against Spain on September 26, followed by matches in Prague and Rijeka, before concluding with a home fixture against Czechia in October.
