Chelsea consider £50m signing of West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen

Chelsea are reported to be weighing a £40‑£50 million move for West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen after the Hammers’ relegation to the Championship. The club, now under new manager Xabi Alonso, is expected to target players with proven Premier League experience as it rebuilds its squad, having already signed several attackers this summer.

Bowen, 29, contributed 11 goals and 12 assists in 42 appearances last season, but could leave to remain in the top flight. West Ham may seek a player swap, with suggestions that a fringe Chelsea forward such as former Barcelona striker Marc Guiu could be included in any deal.

Both clubs are expected to negotiate throughout the upcoming transfer window as Chelsea seek to strengthen their attacking options.
