Chelsea defeat Bournemouth 5-1 to move into Premier League top five

Chelsea secured a dominant 5-1 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, ending a three-match winless streak in the Premier League. The win moves Xabi Alonso’s side into fifth place with 10 points.

Jordan Henderson, making his home debut, was a standout performer, scoring twice and providing an assist. His goals came in the second and 70th minutes, with the latter being a precise 25-yard free-kick. João Pedro also scored twice, while Morgan Rogers added a third goal early in the match.

Bournemouth’s lone goal was scored by Evanilson in the 51st minute. Despite the heavy defeat, Bournemouth remains in a precarious position near the relegation zone. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso praised Henderson’s leadership and the return of midfielder Moisés Caicedo, who provided stability in the center of the pitch.
