Chelsea FC executes massive summer transfer window amid Monaco negotiations

The club reportedly generated over £500 million in player sales, including the record-equaling £125 million transfer of Enzo Fernández to Manchester City. In total, 39 players left the club through sales or loans, contributing to an estimated profit of approximately £120 million.

Amidst this high volume of activity, a late-window dispute emerged between Chelsea and AS Monaco. Following failed attempts to sign midfielder Lamine Camara, Chelsea pivoted to negotiate a £47 million deal with Monaco after Everton encountered medical issues regarding Folarin Balogun. Monaco's sporting director, Thiago Scuro, noted that the clubs had to open a dialogue to resolve the situation as the transfer deadline approached.
