Chelsea FC targets January transfers and potential departures

Chelsea FC is reportedly considering several moves in the January transfer window to strengthen its midfield and squad depth. The club is expected to revisit interest in Roma midfielder Manu Kone, a French international who has performed well in Serie A. Other potential targets mentioned include Alex Scott and Adam Wharton, though securing players from Premier League rivals may prove difficult.

In addition to midfield reinforcements, Chelsea may see departures from its current roster. English winger Jamie Gittens, who joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2025, is reportedly seeking more playing time and may look to leave the club in January. AS Roma has expressed interest in a potential loan deal for Gittens, a move Chelsea may be more willing to consider if his involvement in the squad does not increase in the coming weeks.
