Chelsea Green cleared for WWE return with protective mask

WWE Interim Women's Champion Chelsea Green has been medically cleared to return to the ring following a broken orbital bone. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that while Green is fit to compete, she must wear a protective facial mask during matches to ensure her safety.

Following the medical update, Nia Jax challenged Green for the championship. Aldis officially sanctioned a title match between the two, scheduled to take place in Mexico City. The tension escalated when Jax removed Green’s protective mask during a confrontation.

In recent interviews, Green discussed the physical and emotional toll of her injury, noting that she felt the break immediately during a match. She also revealed past creative pitches to WWE, including a hair vs. hair match against Nikki Bella at WrestleMania, which she proposed to help elevate the Women’s United States Championship.
