Chelsea Green faces 30-day title defense deadline following orbital injury

WWE interim Women's Champion Chelsea Green is facing a mandatory 30-day window to be medically cleared following an orbital bone injury sustained during a tag team match. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has ruled that Green must defend her title within the next 30 days or relinquish the championship.

Following her injury, Green delivered a highly praised promo on SmackDown, which her husband, Matt Cardona, suggested cemented her status as a ‘made woman’ in the industry. AJ Styles noted that Green appeared to be in good spirits while visiting trainers at the Performance Center.

In a recent appearance on ‘Busted Open Radio’, Lainey Reid of the stable Fatal Influence claimed credit for Green’s recent momentum, suggesting that the segment following the injury was a result of the impact caused by her group. Reid stated, ‘The remorse is that I didn't finish the job,’ referring to the match where the injury occurred.
