Chelsea face Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge amid defensive concerns

Chelsea host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge for a Premier League match on October 10, 2026, following an international break. Managed by Xabi Alonso, Chelsea currently sit 10th in the league with seven points. The team is looking to end a three-match winless streak in the Premier League after a heavy 0-3 defeat to Brentford.

Defensive instability has been a significant issue for the Blues, who have conceded 12 goals in five matches, the highest in the league. However, there is positive news regarding squad availability; midfielder Moises Caicedo is reported to be fit and ready to return following a calf injury. Other players, including Reece James and Cole Palmer, face late fitness tests.

Bournemouth, managed by Marco Rose, occupies 17th place with three points and is still searching for their first Premier League victory of the season. The Cherries will be without several key players, including Alex Scott and Justin Kluivert, due to injuries. Recent head-to-head statistics show a trend of draws between the two sides in their most recent league encounters.
