Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia discusses increased role

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has commented on his increased responsibilities in the midfield following the departure of Enzo Fernandez to Manchester City. Lavia, who signed a seven-year contract with Chelsea after moving from Southampton, stated that Fernandez's exit has provided him with the more prominent role he has been working toward.

Lavia noted that while Fernandez was a significant part of the team, his departure has allowed him to focus on controlling the tempo and linking play. Despite his recent international performances with the Belgian national team, reports suggest his position in the Chelsea lineup has faced challenges due to recent club results and tactical shifts under manager Xabi Alonso.
