Chelsea monitoring Como midfielder Lucas Da Cunha

Chelsea is reportedly monitoring Como midfielder Lucas Da Cunha as a potential transfer target. The 25-year-old French international has seen a rise in profile following impressive performances in Serie A and a recent call-up to the France national squad.

Da Cunha, who plays a box-to-box role, is highly regarded by Como manager Cesc Fabregas. While Chelsea is among the clubs interested in the midfielder, they face competition from several other Premier League sides, including Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Bournemouth.

Securing a deal may prove difficult for interested clubs, as Da Cunha recently signed a contract extension with Como that runs until 2031.
