Chelsea is reportedly monitoring Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov as a potential reinforcement for their backline. The 22-year-old Uzbekistan international is being considered as an option for the January transfer window following defensive struggles earlier this season.

Khusanov, a versatile centre-back who can also play right-back, has served as a rotational player for Manchester City. While he has featured in 37 matches recently, he currently sits behind players like Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol in the team's pecking order.

Although Khusanov is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2031, Chelsea and three other unnamed Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in his services. His market value is estimated at approximately £43 million.
