Chelsea pursues Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni

Real Madrid have indicated willingness to consider an offer for French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, whose relationship with the club has soured after a physical clash with teammate Federico Valverde. The club’s hierarchy, including president Florentino Pérez and manager José Mourinho, are prepared to free up transfer funds for the summer window.

Chelsea have opened formal negotiations for the player, driven by midfielder‑coach Xabi Alonso’s request. The English club aims to meet the €80 million price tag set by Madrid and sees Tchouaméni as a complementary partner to Moisés Caicedo in midfield. Manchester United have also been linked as a potential suitor, but Chelsea appear to be the leading candidate.

If the deal materialises, the transfer would see the 26‑year‑old move from La Liga to the Premier League this summer.
