Chelsea rejects Manchester United bid for Josh Acheampong
Chelsea has reportedly rejected transfer offers from Manchester United and several other major European clubs for young defender Josh Acheampong. The 20-year-old England Under-21 international has been designated as ‘untouchable’ by Chelsea management, who view him as a vital asset for the club’s long-term projects at Stamford Bridge.
Acheampong has become a consistent figure in the squad under manager Xabi Alonso, featuring in six of Chelsea’s seven Premier League matches this season. Alonso has praised the defender’s maturity and aggression, noting his significant potential to compete at the highest level.
To ward off further interest, Chelsea is reportedly preparing to offer Acheampong a substantial new contract. The defender is currently under contract until 2029.
