Chelsea sets firm stance on Garnacho and Chavarria transfer offers

Chelsea has indicated it will only consider permanent transfer offers for Argentine forward Alejandro Garnacho. The club expects any bid to exceed roughly €30 million; otherwise it may look at a loan with a future purchase option. Garnacho, who joined from Manchester United for €40 million, has struggled to meet expectations with two goals and four assists in 33 appearances.

At the same time, Chelsea is pursuing left‑back Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano. Chavarria’s release clause is €21.5 million, but reports suggest Chelsea’s initial offer is closer to €10 million. The club plans to promote Jorrel Hato as the primary replacement for former left‑back Marc Cucurella, with Chavarria slated to serve as backup.

Both moves are part of Chelsea’s broader summer strategy to reshape its squad while balancing financial considerations.
