Chelsea signs Morgan Rogers for record £117 million

Chelsea has broken the British transfer record by signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117 million. The move aims to provide manager Xabi Alonso with a dynamic ball carrier capable of driving through central channels and breaking defensive lines.

Addressing concerns regarding how Rogers and Cole Palmer might coexist in the lineup, Alonso stated that both players offer versatility, noting they can operate as number 10s, number 8s, or wingers. Alonso emphasized that the team's success depends on a stable structure that allows Palmer to make a difference.
