Chelsea target Turkish left‑back Archie Brown in transfer push

Chelsea have opened formal inquiries about 24‑year‑old English defender Archie Brown, who currently plays for Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Süper Lig. The club turned away from a stalled deal for Spanish left‑back Pep Chavarria and from Rayo Vallecano’s heightened price demands, prompting a shift toward Brown, whose contract runs to June 2028 and who is valued at roughly €12 million after 25 league appearances, three goals and three assists last season.

Chelsea’s scouting network also monitors Real Madrid prospect Álvaro Carreras and Newcastle United winger Lewis Hall, while other European sides such as Atlético Madrid and AC Milan have shown interest in Brown. The Turkish club appears open to negotiating, having previously rejected a €16 million offer from Nottingham Forest. If a deal is reached, Brown would provide a cost‑effective, home‑grown option for the Blues ahead of the summer transfer window.
