Chelsea targets Alvaro Carreras as replacement for Marc Cucurella

Chelsea FC are actively pursuing left‑back Alvaro Carreras to replace Marc Cucurella, who moved to Real Madrid for a reported €60 million after the 2026 World Cup. Carreras, a 23‑year‑old former Manchester United youth product, rejoined his boyhood club from Benfica last summer for about €50 million and made 40 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions.

Chelsea’s new manager Xabi Alonso is said to favour Carreras, with Real Madrid reportedly willing to accept a fee around €45 million, potentially structuring the deal as a swap. The Blues’ other left‑back options include youngsters Denner, Jorrel Hato and Caleb Wiley.
