Chelsea targets Villarreal winger Alberto Moleiro

Chelsea FC is reportedly interested in signing Villarreal CF winger Alberto Moleiro, following a specific request from manager Xabi Alonso. A potential offer could be in the region of €50 million, which would approach the lower end of the player's release clause, estimated between €50 million and €60 million. Moleiro, a 23-year-old Spanish attacker, is under contract with Villarreal until 2030.

Despite Chelsea's interest, Moleiro reportedly favors a move to FC Barcelona. The player's preference for the Catalan club presents a significant obstacle for the London side. While Barcelona's sporting director Deco is interested in the player, the club has not yet initiated formal negotiations.

Moleiro is noted for his versatility, capable of playing as a winger, advanced playmaker, or second striker. His technical profile aligns with the tactical systems utilized by Alonso, potentially fitting into a formation that utilizes two attacking midfielders behind a striker.
