Chelsea teenager Dastan Satpayev scores on pre‑season debut
Seventeen‑year‑old Kazakh striker Dastan Satpayev opened the scoring for Chelsea in the club’s pre‑season friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers, netting six minutes after coming on. The match, part of Xabi Alonso’s first tour as Chelsea manager, ended 6‑4 in favour of the Blues at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
Satpayev is not yet officially registered; his five‑year contract with an optional extra year does not commence until his 18th birthday on 12 August. He is allowed to play as a trialist after receiving special permission from his former club FC Kairat Almaty.
