Roma pursue Chelsea winger Garnacho with loan‑buy option

Chelsea have announced they are prepared to sell Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho, setting the asking price at €50 million (about £45 million) and favouring a permanent transfer. The club says Garnacho has not been training under new head coach Xabi Alonso and the Blues are seeking offers ahead of the summer window.

The Serie A side prefers to bring Garnacho in on a loan with an option to buy, mirroring a previous deal for Malen, rather than meet Chelsea’s demand for an outright sale. Roma’s interest is part of a broader push to strengthen both flanks, with the club also targeting Strasbourg left‑back Diego Moreira for a €35‑million deal.

Other clubs, including teams from Saudi Arabia and Napoli, have been linked to the player, while Manchester United stand to receive a sell‑on percentage from any future transfer, having sold Garnacho to Chelsea for €40 million last summer. The negotiations remain ongoing, with Roma awaiting a concrete offer from Chelsea.
