Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk cleared to rejoin squad for Hong Kong tour
Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk, 25, has been cleared by the FA and WADA to return to Chelsea after a doping case involving meldonium that led to a provisional suspension in late 2024. The player has not featured in a competitive match since November 2024 and trained privately during his ban.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso confirmed Mudryk will travel with the team on its pre‑season tour of Hong Kong and will be available for the friendly against Juventus, but the club will not rush him into match action. Alonso stressed that the squad, coaching staff and teammates will support Mudryk as he regains fitness. Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 for a reported £62 million transfer fee.
